COVID Safety & Cleaning

As the situation with COVID evolves all over the world, Australia remains a safe place to shoot with stringent regulations and entry requirements for anyone coming to and working in Australia.

Once your crew is here and ready to go in Australia CATO offer a range of services to protect your production against a COVID outbreak in compliance with the Australian Government Department of Health guidelines including the provision of Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT).

Their COVID-Safe services include risk assessment and implementation of mitigation strategies by a Government-trained CATO COVID-19 Prevention and Control Officer. COVID-Safe Cleaning is also available in line with the COVID-Safe Guidelines produced by the Australian Screen Production Industry, which require all locations to be cleaned before, during and after use.

All CATO COVID-19 Officers have completed the Australian Government Department of Health COVID-19 infection control training and we work with the relevant state authorities and screen agencies, depending on where you are shooting, to ensure every box is ticked and your production is fully compliant.

Mitigation strategies may include the provision of an on-site nurse trained to perform on-the-spot Government-approved and TGA Certified RAT and/or PCR Testing. CATO can also supply RATs for production to manage if ordered in advance.

Some of the productions CATO has helped continue safely through COVID conditions over the past two years include Mortal Combat, National Geographic’s Limitless, Nine Perfect Strangers, Love Island, Young Rock 2, and The Voice.
