Position Details – People & Culture Specialist/HR Generalist:

This role will see you reporting through to the General Manager & Managing Director and partnering with business units to provide day-to-day HR generalist support and advice in relation to employee relations, performance management, recruitment, training, diversity/inclusion and HR policies & procedures.
This is a stand-alone role and our operational remit see engagement in an array of diverse work areas including traffic control, security, community events, street scaping, and covid testing, to name a few. The role is based in Marrickville with the option of working from home from time to time.
Duties Include:
- Management and execution of HR processes
- Recruitment and selection
- Onboarding new employees & coordinating induction
- Providing proactive coaching and specialist advice to managers and employees on employee relations matters including performance management and grievances
- Implementing HR and business initiatives as required
- Prepare contracts of employment
- Assist to coordinate staff engagement activities & celebrations
- Respond to all people & culture related emails within a timely manner
- Prepare and distribute internal people & culture communications
- Provide reports on Employment Hero on an ad hoc basis
- Monitor employee compliance requirements eg qualifications, licences & visa status
You Will Need:
- 3 years + experience in a fast-paced HR position
- Hands-on with a proactive, practical and organised approach to delivering meaningful results
- Relevant tertiary qualification in HR or an equivalent field of study
- Sound knowledge of current employment legislation including OH&S, EEO, Anti-Discrimination & The Fair Work Act
- The ability to engage, partner, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding the application of general HR practices is essential
- Experience with Employment Hero & Deputy – an advantage
- Ability to work autonomously
