Five shows we’re watching this December

December 2023

After starting the month on a high note, providing traffic management and HVM services for Santa, the CATO crew is feeling festive and getting into the Christmas spirit this December!

Last Thursday CATO locked down the road for Santa’s sleigh ride at the official Christmas tree Lighting event in Martin Place. We worked collaboratively with our client City of Sydney and were greeted with a guest appearance from the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore. It’s certainly not every day that you get to stop traffic for such exciting VIPs!

To continue the festivities, CATO also provided Traffic and Security services for the Camden Council Christmas Festival, the City of Sydney Christmas Concerts, and Fairfield City Council’s Christmas in Fairfield.

Now, with the bulk of Christmas events wrapped up for the year, the CATO Crew are looking forward to a restful break before launching into 2024. To get ready for the approaching holiday, we’ve put it to a vote at CATO HQ and ranked the top five shows we are most excited to watch this December. Cue the popcorn, Christmas cocktails and lots of couch time…

5. The Artful Dodger

Perfect for: Period-piece lovers and literature fans

Adapted from Charles Dickens’s famous novel Oliver Twist, The Artful Dodger is set in 1850s Australia and has already been met with outstanding reviews. Released at the end of November, the first season features eight episodes and is available to watch on Disney+.

With Sydney icons such as the Harbour Bridge and Opera House featuring as the backdrop, NCIS Sydney puts an Australian twist on the staple US series. This season, the Australian AFP is seen working alongside NCIS to solve a new case in each episode. NCIS Sydney was also released earlier in November and is available to watch on Paramount+ now.
