The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart releases on Amazon

August 2023

Traffic management, Security and Safety

Featuring Sigourney Weaver, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Asher Keddie, the Australian-made miniseries The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is out now on Amazon Prime. With some of the most recognisable shooting locations being in NSW, from the Southern Highlands to the Hunter Region, CATO provided Traffic Management, Security and Safety for the production.

The Screen NSW supported miniseries is directed by Glendyn Ivin, who CATO have previously worked with on Penguin Bloom (2020), and comes from the producers of Nine Perfect Strangers, which CATO also provided services for in 2020-2021. Released less than a week ago, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is already receiving international acclaim.

“The series, which is sensitively written, expertly performed by actors young and old, and beautifully shot — if you cut out the people, it might serve as a promotion for the Australian tourist board — is in no rush to give up its mysteries, and by drawing out the drama, what’s obvious in the story comes off as proportionally more subtle.”

From the official Prime Video / Amazon Studios press release, Erika North, head of originals, Asia Pacific, at Amazon Studios, states “Prime Video is proud to be bringing this powerful, visceral and uniquely Australian story to life for our Prime members around the world. The series is our second scripted drama locally produced and we are thrilled to […] bring these layered characters, breathtaking Australian setting, and masterfully constructed story that Holly Ringland created to Prime Video.”

Since 2019, Prime Video has commissioned 14 Amazon Original series in Australia including The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team, Making Their Mark, a series of 10 stand-up comedy specials by some of Australia’s best comedians, LOL: Last One Laughing AU with Rebel Wilson, Back to the Rafters, Luxe Listings Sydney S1, The Moth Effect, Head Above Water, the upcoming Kick Like Tayla, Warriors On The Field, Class of ’07, Deadloch, and the award-winning feature-length documentary, Burning.
