TAG’s Month of Milestones: A Production Perspective from Alli Pratt
It’s been a whirlwind May for the Production team at TAG, with a calendar packed full of major industry events and memorable moments that reflect the strength of Australia’s screen sector.
Alli Pratt, Director of Production at TAG shared her thoughts on the biggest month for production.
TAG was a key sponsor at this year’s Gold Coast Film Festival for 2025. Several TAG Staff were able to attend numerous events including the Festival Awards held at Movie World on the 1st May. I attended alongside my colleagues Prue Kennedy (Senior Account Manager) and Lauren Gainey (Commercial Director). As proud sponsors of the festival, TAG was honoured to present the Gold Coast Screen Professional of the Year Award, which was awarded to the incredible Kylie Lovedale.
There’s something inspiring about being surrounded by creatives who work so tirelessly to bring stories to life. At TAG, our role is to make the logistics easier – providing seamless travel solutions so that producers, crews and talent can stay focused on what truly matters: storytelling.
I also attended the Screen Forever Conference on the Gold Coast from 6 – 8 May, joined by Prue Kennedy again. It was a busy few days of meaningful one-on-one meetings and inspiring speakers. Screen Forever continues to be one of the most valuable gatherings for our industry in Australia.
TAG recently co-hosted a client networking event with our trusted partners Cato Location Services and Count Out Loud, bringing together valued clients and collaborators for an evening of drinks, great food, and meaningful connection. Now in its second year, the mixer is fast becoming a must-attend fixture on the SPA week calendar.
Adding to the momentum, TAG was incredibly proud to be named Services and Facilities Business of the Year for our work on the Australian feature film How to Make Gravy at the 23rd Annual Screen Producers Australia (SPA) Awards on the 8th May.
The award was accepted by our Chief Revenue Officer, Shane Barr, with myself and Prue Kennedy by his side. The ceremony, held at The Star Theatre and hosted by beloved Aussie comedian, writer, actress and director, Nina Oyama, was a celebration of the depth and diversity of talent in Australia’s screen industry. To be recognised in this space is a massive honour – and a testament to the hard work of our global TAG team in supporting the production community.
Finally, TAG hosted a table at the Women in Film Lunch on the 9th May, with Shane Barr and Prue Kennedy representing TAG. The event celebrated influential women in Australia’s film industry and aims to elevate the profile of women in Queensland’s film industry, while shaping a narrative that will inspire future generations.
